Intro

This oval hair clip is sized for thick hair: big enough to hold real weight without slipping, but still shaped to sit comfortably. Each one is hand-painted, not printed, so the bloom in the center has real texture and slight variation from clip to clip. It comes in three colours: dark blue, violet, and red, so you can match it to what you already wear or pick the one that feels most like you.

Inspiration

I wanted a clip that felt a bit more special than a plain accessory: something you'd notice even from across the room. The center of each clip is hand-painted with a bloom, surrounded by green leaves to bring in a bit of contrast and depth. On top, I added a thin layer of gold paint, just enough to catch the light without overpowering the color underneath. The gold sits over the design like a soft finish, giving each clip a slightly warm, hand-finished look rather than a flat, factory one.

Conclusion

Because the design is painted by hand, small differences in brushwork and gold placement are part of each piece: no two clips look exactly alike. At 10cm long and 4.5cm wide, it's built to hold thick or heavy hair securely, whether you're using it for a half-up style or gathering a full ponytail. Hand-painted and finished in small batches in my home studio in Malta.
