The Story Behind My New Beauty Pouch Collection

The Story Behind My New Beauty Pouch Collection

When I design a new product, I always try to combine beauty and practicality. My goal is simple: to create pieces that feel special to use every day, not just something you store away in a drawer.

This new pouch collection is very close to my heart because it brings together different textures, moods, and small details that make each piece unique.

The original design: elegance in dark beige velvet

The main beauty pouch in this collection was created with a clear idea in mind. It's something that looks beautiful both on the outside and on the inside.

I chose a dark beige velvet fabric for the exterior because I wanted something soft, minimalistic, and timeless. Velvet has this subtle way of catching light, so the surface has a gentle shine that changes depending on how you hold it. It feels warm, feminine, and understated.

Inside, I used a pink leopard print lining. I love this contrast, because it's calm and elegant on the outside, playful and unexpected on the inside. It’s a small detail, but it makes opening the pouch feel a little more special every time.

One of the most important things for me was structure. I don’t like pouches that collapse completely when they’re empty. This design holds its shape, which makes it more practical in everyday use and also more beautiful when it’s sitting on a table or inside a bag.

The diamond quilting adds texture without overwhelming the simplicity of the design, keeping everything clean and minimal while still visually interesting.

A new playful variation: soft pink teddy edition

Alongside the main design, I also created a smaller variation that brings a completely different feeling.

This version is made from soft pink teddy fabric: fluffy, cozy, and more playful in character. It has a lighter, more whimsical mood compared to the velvet version, but still keeps the same practical structure and zip closure.

To make it even more special, I added a small handmade slice of lemon made from polymer clay as a charm detail. It’s a tiny unexpected accent that brings a fresh, joyful touch to the pouch and makes each piece feel one-of-a-kind.

Two moods, one collection

What I love most about this collection is that it offers two different moods:

  • The velvet version: minimal, elegant, structured, and timeless
  • The teddy version: soft, playful, and expressive

Both are designed to be used as beauty pouches, cosmetic pouches, travel pouches, and everyday zip pouches — depending on what you need.

Final thoughts

For me, this collection is about balance: softness and structure, simplicity and detail, calm tones and playful surprises.

Each pouch is handmade in small quantities, which makes every piece a little bit unique. I hope they bring not only organisation to your daily routine, but also a small moment of joy every time you use them.
