There’s something magical about turning something simple into something special. I recently gave a plain wooden box a full glow-up – and now it’s the cutest little display for my handmade pink accessories: a hair clip, scrunchie, and keychain.
The Creative Process
I started with a bare wooden box and painted it in a soft blue shade to set a vintage tone. Then came the florals – and-painted inside the box to add a delicate, romantic touch. To seal the design and give it a glossy finish, I added a layer of resin. The result? A smooth, glass-like surface that makes the colors pop.
Details That Matter
To elevate the vintage vibe, I dry-brushed gold hints across the edges. It added just the right amount of antique charm. I also stuck anti-slip pads underneath to keep the box steady – because beauty should be practical too!
A Home for Handmade Pieces
Once the box was ready, I placed my handmade items inside one by one:
– A soft pink hair clip
– A cozy scrunchie
– A charming keychain
Each piece now sits in its own little nook, surrounded by colour, texture, and love. It’s not just a display – it’s a tiny treasury of handmade joy.
