Some of my favourite creations start with colour
For this collection of hair clips, I wanted to create something that felt artistic but was also practical enough to wear every day. I chose a floral design and started experimenting with different colour combinations: fuchsia, blue and turquoise, with little touches of gold.
But the colours didn’t come from nowhere. Living in Malta, I’m constantly surrounded by colour and little details that catch my eye. One of the things I particularly love about Malta is its colourful doors. They can be simple or beautifully detailed, but they often have so much character.
That became the inspiration behind this collection.
Inspired by Malta's colourful doors
I wanted each clip to have its own colour story. Although all the clips follow the same floral style, each one is hand painted individually, so no two are exactly the same.
Some have stronger fuchsia tones, others are more blue or turquoise, and the gold details add a little extra sparkle.
When it came to photographing them, each clip found the right Maltese door to match its colours.
I loved seeing how naturally they worked together: the hand-painted flowers against the colourful doors, with both having their own little imperfections and character.
It made the photos feel like more than just product photos. They became a small connection between my handmade work and the place that inspires me.

As beautiful as I want my hair accessories to be, they also need to work well.
These clips are made especially for thick hair and are designed to hold your hair securely throughout the day without slipping. They are comfortable and hair friendly, so you can wear them for everyday hairstyles without having to constantly adjust them.
For me, that balance between art and practicality is important. I want a hair accessory to look special, but I also want you to actually enjoy wearing it.
No two are exactly the same
Because every flower is painted by hand, each clip has its own little differences.
They all belong to the same collection, but they aren't identical. that's part of what makes handmade pieces special.
